Welcome to the Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) General Services Department!
General Services Department assists Fairbanks North Star Borough departments in achieving their public service missions by providing essential support services in the areas of capital projects management, fleet services, facilities operations, purchasing, and real estate services.
The department maintains surplus inventory and has the authority to sell, exchange, trade in or otherwise dispose of borough property. Citizens will be offered the opportunity to purchase surplus property year-round as it is declared surplus equipment through Online Public Surplus Auction.
All property is offered for sale "As Is, Where Is". The Fairbanks North Star Borough makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. The Buyer is not entitled to any payment for loss of profit or any other money damages - special, direct, indirect or consequential, and the Fairbanks North Star Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to withdraw from sale of any of the items listed. Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding by appointment.
